MINNEAPOLIS, MN (NewsDakota.com) I3G Media stations KDDR in Oakes and KOVC in Valley City were presented with regional broadcasting honors Saturday night as part of the Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association’s Eric Sevareid Awards.

Both stations earned Awards of Merit in the Small Market Radio Sportscast/Program category. KDDR’s sportscast from September 8th was recognized, and KOVC received the award for an episode of the “Coach Mac Show” during the most recent Valley City State University football season.

KOVC’s recognition is the station’s first. KDDR has now been awarded a total of nine Sevaried Awards since 2014, with three First Place awards and six Awards of Merit; all for sports broadcasting.
