BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A former Burleigh County Sheriff’s deputy faces drug and theft charges – after methamphetamine and cell phones in evidence were stolen from the Metro Area Drug Task Force. Kerry Komrosky was arrested Tuesday night.
Burleigh County Sheriff Pat Heinert says Komrowsky was working patrol Saturday when he asked his supervisor for an extra hour of leave. That was granted. But he didn’t show up for more than three hours. Heinert says the supervisor then went to Komrowsky’s house.
One pound of meth was found, with a street value in excess of $10,000 and 13 cell phones were seized, as while as drug paraphernalia.
Komrowsky had been a member of the drug task force, before being reassigned in December of 2017. He was arrested – and taken to the Stutsman County Correctional Center in Jamestown.
The case has been turned over to the state Bureau of Criminal Investigation. McLean County States’ Attorney Ladd Erickson is prosecuting the case.
