JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Stutsman County 4-Hers competed at the final indoor 4-H archery meet on Saturday April 7 at Edgeley.

This meet is the South Central District Meet and the final leg for points to be named the State Indoor Champion.

There were 5 meets held since January 27th across North Dakota – 2 must be attended to be eligible for the state contest. The scores for each of these meets are recorded. The top 2 scores are added to the score from this meet to determine the State Indoor 4-H Archery title.

Four of our county 4-H archers competed on Saturday in Edgeley.

Trace Christ, Wimbledon, was in the junior Freestyle, Will Peckham, Ypsilanti, placed 5th in the senior Barebow, and 4th in the Masters Freestyle, Landon Sprague, Courtenay, placed 5th in the Masters Freestyle, and Ethan Sprague, Courtenay, competed in the senior Freestyle.

These 4 were also eligible for the state indoor competition. Christ place top 20 in the junior freestyle state competition totals. Ethan Sprague placed 7th in senior freestyle. Peckham placed 2 in barebow and 4th in masters freestyle, and Landon Sprague placed 5th in masters freestyle.

The outdoor archery meets will be starting soon culminating with the State Archery Match on June 8-9 at the ND 4-H Camp near Washburn.
