JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – For over 60 years, the Jamestown Choralaires have been performing in and around the community and around the region.

Formed in 1955, the group has performed a variety of concerts. A concert that has been held since their inception will be held this weekend in Jamestown on Friday and Saturday. Choralaires member Roger Caine has been part of the group for over 40 years.

Caine says they’ll do two or three numbers with the Jamestown Boys Choir, who will also perform a few numbers. Choralaires members will be performing songs that they will be singing at the annual Big Sing event in Marshall, MN.

The Choralaires are comprised of several men from the community. Kevin Walker says they have a wide range of ages involved.

Caine says there will be some songs that are staples when it comes to a Choralaires concert and a good mix of other songs performed.

The group is conducted by Director Pamela Burkhardt with Dr. Richard Walentine accompanying. The spring show is set for April 13th and 14th at the Jamestown High School Auditorium. Tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for students and can be purchased from any Choralaires member, at Looysen I Care or at the door.

Show times are 7:30 PM. Photo: Jamestown Choralaires
