JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The South Central Homeless Coalition is in the midst of their 3rd Annual Blessing Bags Drive to help out the areas homeless population.
The coalition has partnered with the Jamestown Ministerial Association, Triumph Inc., and Edgewood Senior Living to fill the bags with essential care items to people experiencing homelessness or other hardships. Coalition member Tonya Perkins says they had great success with the event last year.
Cassie DuBray says their success has prompted them to set a higher goal this year.
The group will now be packaging all the items collected for the past two months and putting them together during an assembly at Edgewood Senior Living in Jamestown. The group encourages anyone who is available from 1 PM to 4 PM to stop by and help package what items have been collected.
Items will then be distributed to those in need. For more information, visit the South Central Homeless Coalitions Facebook page or call 701-952-8750 if you’re interested in helping.
