BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Eight area basketball players have been selected to be a part of the 2018 North Dakota Lions All-Star Basketball Series in early July.

Carrington’s Emerson Hoornaert, Kidder County’s Grace Benz and LaMoure-Litchville-Marion’s Anna Holen were named to the Class B girls team with Medina-Pingree-Buchanan’s Jadyn Pollert named as an alternate.

On the Class B boys roster from the region Carrington’s Garrett Bickett joins Wyndmere/Lidgerwood’s Luke Foertsch.

Valley City’s Courtney Lloyd and Mackenzie Pederson will compete for the Class A girls team.

The games are schedule for Monday July 9 at Bismarck Legacy High School and Tuesday July 10 at the Fargo Civic Center. Each night, the girls game will start at 6 p.m. followed by the boys game.
