BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The time of the year has finally arrived. Snow geese are officially migrating back into the region.
Game & Fish Wildlife Biologist Doug Leier reports that at this time of the year, the snow geese start their migration into North Dakota. He says there are a few factors when it comes to scouting out the areas the geese nest in.
Leier says they’ve been seeing snow geese show up in Sargent and Dickey counties earlier this week.
In other hunting news, Leier says hunters in the 2017 deer hunting season had a lot of success in the field.
Leier says residents will also need to renew a lot of their licensing starting April 1st before heading out on the prairie this year.
You can listen to Doug Leier talk the Great Outdoors with JD in the Morning on Big Dog Country 95.5 FM every Thursday at 7:20 AM.
