JAMESTOWN, N.D. (VNL) – In a recent Valley News Live story, it was found that a shocking voicemail was left on some foster parents phones from the Stutsman County Social Services office.

In the report, the parents filed a complaint and contacted the Whistleblower Hotline to investigate. In the voicemail below, a social service worker can be heard speaking about the children and family. Below is a clip from the voicemail, obtained by Valley News Live.

“Who would want ‘crackhead babies’ anyway?” says one of the workers.

The other laughs and says, “They need love, too.”

After hearing the voicemail, the foster parents say they were devastated.

Stutsman County Social Services has reached out to the foster parents and asked for a copy of the voicemail. Director Em Burkett told VNL that she would look into the situation.
