VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- The Viking Club Tennis team, who was named the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Northern Section Team of the Year at the 2018 Sectional Championships, March 3rd/4th, has now been name the National USTA Tennis On Campus Team of the Year.
This award goes to a team that is involved in their tennis on campus section, youth tennis, high school programs, and adult leagues in their community to promote the lifelong sport of tennis. It also includes their ability to fundraise, host tournaments, and expand our team from season to season.
The team will be accepting this award at the USTA Semiannual Meeting/US Open in New York from September 1-2, 2018. This is the second time the Club Team has been awarded the USTA Northern Section Team of the Year award, but the first time winning the national award.
