JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department is urging residents to check their storage units after a rash of break-ins recently.
According to the department, the break-ins have occurred over the last few weeks. Investigations are underway with four cases open, but each involving multiple storage units. Detectives says residents need to check locks on units and look inside to see if anything is missing or out of order.
In some cases, suspects have been making holes in the walls and going from unit to unit. Most cases included padlocks being cut off. Police encourage residents to also take a photo of things inside their units as it will be useful in an investigation.
As always, police encourage residents that if they see something to say something. If you have a break-in to report or have any information, you’re asked to contact the Jamestown Police Department at 701-252-2414.
