VALLEY CITY, N.D. (VCSUVikings.com)- Valley City State University senior basketball player Lexi Lennon has been named Honorable Mention All-American, the NAIA national office announced Thursday.
It is the second straight All-American honor for Lennon, who was also named Honorable Mention All-American last season.
The 5-foot-8 senior guard from West Fargo, N.D., had one of the best seasons in program history this year, averaging 17.6 points per game and leading the team in points, assists, steals, free throws and 3-pointers. She helped VCSU to a school-record 25 wins and the fifth national tournament appearance in program history.
Lennon finishes her career as the third-leading scorer in program history with 1,519 points. After redshirting her first season, Lennon did not miss a single game in her four-year playing career and averaged 12.5 points per game in 122 contests. The Vikings posted an 89-33 record (.729) during her career.
