BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Cardinals trailed by as many as 12 points in the fourth quarter, but came back to beat the Stanley Blue Jays on Thursday night 63-59. The Cardinals have won 20 straight and improve to 23-2, Stanley drops to 22-3. Carrington has not lost in 2018, their last loss came December 29th against Des Lacs-Burlington.
The Blue Jays shot 59% from the field in the first half, but went cold in the second half shooting only 22% and just 2 of 18 from beyond the arc the entire game. The Cardinals ended the game shooting 45% from the field and hit six 3-pointers. Senior Garrett Bickett led the Cardinals scoring attack with 16 points and two 3-pointers, Kolton Vetter added 12 and Trey Rosenau had 10. Leading the way for Stanley was Senior Wyatt Hanson with 27 points, including a first half dunk. He was four assists away from a triple-double, grabbing 13 rebounds and six assists. Kaedyn Hanson added 16 points. There were a total of nine lead changes and 12 ties.
