JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Regional Medical Center has announced the hiring of their newest audiologist Dr. Marissa M. Leese.

Dr. Leese specializes in comprehensive audiological testing, as well as hearing aid fittings and service for patients of all ages.

Susan Matthiesen, JRMC audiologist, shared, “When I met with Marissa, I found it easy to establish a rapport with her, so I know our patients will enjoy working with her. More importantly, I am confident that she will strive to exceed our patients’ expectations by providing the high standard of audiology and customer service that our patients have come to expect and appreciate at JRMC. I am delighted that Marissa is the audiologist that will be taking the reins for our patients.”

“I look forward to following in Sue’s footsteps, as well as learning how she cares for her patients. My goal is to find a cohesive way to merge both my skills and Sue’s skills to create the best care for our patients,” shared Dr. Leese.

Dr. Leese graduated high school in Clara City, Minn., and completed her undergraduate studies at Minnesota State University in Mankato, Minn. She attended graduate school at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Ore. She completed residencies at the following medical facilities: Moore Audiology in Sun City, Ariz., Affiliated Community Medical Center in Willmar, Minn., and Edward Hines VA Hospital in Hines, Ill.

Dr. Leese chose Jamestown Regional Medical Center because their values and motto resonated with her. She liked knowing that she would be the sole audiologist at JRMC and would have a ‘clinic’ setting, yet still be a part of the hospital.

“After experiencing Chicago for one year of residency, I knew that I wanted to stay close to my Midwestern roots,” said Dr. Leese.

In addition to her professional work, Dr. Leese also has a passion for outdoor activities such as hiking, boating and spending time with family and friends at the lake.
