VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Two individuals were injured during the North Dakota Winter Show Pickup Pull after a truck went through the arena wall on Tuesday.

North Dakota Highway Patrol Captain Bryan Niewind said a Dodge pickup pulling a skid vehicle was making a pass across the main arena. At the east end, the truck struck a large tire, a buffer between the arena and a wall separating it from the east concourse. After striking the tire, the vehicle went through the wall onto the concourse.

A 15 year-old female and 33 year-old female were struck on the other side of the wall. The 15 year-old was taken to Mercy Hospital where she was treated and released. The 33 year-old woman refused treatment on scene.

The driver of the Dodge was 19 year-old Natahn Bell of Gardner, ND. The driver of the skid vehicle was 23 year-old Hunter Henjum of Valley City, ND. The incident remains under investigation. The Barnes County SO, Valley City PD, and Barnes County Ambulance all assisted the NDHP.
