FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – No one was seriously injured after a man driving under the influence collided head-on with an Oakes teen on I-94 Thursday near West Fargo.

NDHP Sgt. Matthew Denault reports that 32 year-old Brad Samples of Kindred was traveling eastbound in the westbound exit ramp on Kindred Exit 340. 19 year-old Alyx Schmitz was preparing to enter I-94 when both vehicles collided head-on.

Samples was charged with driving under the influence and driving the wrong way on a one way road. He was transported with minor injuries to Sanford Hospital. Schmitz was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
