Devils Lake, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)—Top seeded Four Winds/Minnewaukan (FWM) earned a first round bye and will play Benson County in Saturdays first semifinal game. Benson County (BC), New Rockford-Sheyenne (NRS), and Dakota Prairie (DP) all advanced to the semifinals with first round wins.

Benson County Wildcats 62     Harvey-Wells County  Hornets  55  OT

Benson County (4th seed) looked like they would cruise into the semifinals, leading 47-34 at the end of the third quarter. Harvey-WC (HWC), the number 5 seed, stormed backed behind Parker Granger and Walker Koropatnicki combined for 19 fourth quarter points and forced overtime outscoring BC 21-8 in the final quarter. With all the momentum on the Hornets side heading to OT, it was BC that scored all 7 points in the extra 4 minutes and defeated the Hornets 62-55. Granger finished the game with 17 points and Koropatnicki finished with 13 points to pace the Hornets. The Wildcats were led by Keaton Nelsen with 16 points, Garrett Tandeski 15 points, and Blayne Anderson with 11 points. HWC dropped to 8-12 overall and will play Monday evening at 6:00 P.M. against NRS or DP. BC improved to 12-8 overall and will play top seeded FWM on Saturday at 6:00 P.M.

New Rockford-Sheyenne Rockets  75     Lakota Raiders  44

The second seeded Rockets had little resistance from Lakota (7 seed) and rolled to a 75-44 victory. Bo Belquist (24) and Teddy Allmaras (22) combined for 46 points to pace the Rockets offensively. Wilson Howard added 12 points and Tucker Longnecker added 8 points for NRS. The Raiders were paced by Jackson Neidlinger with 22 points and Colton Berg added 12 points. Lakota dropped to 1-19 overall and will play Warwick at 4:30 on Saturday. NRS improved to 12-8 overall and will play DP at 7:30 on Saturday in the semifinals.

Dakota Prairie Knights  76     Warwick Warriors  42

Hunter Sand scored a game high 22 points and the third seeded Knights cruised past Warwick (6 seed) 76-42. Bryce Trenda added 13 points and Tyler Loe finished with 11 points for DP. Jarrett Ressler also finished with 9 points. The Warriors were paced by Paul Thiele with 18 points and 14 points from Eric Belgarde. Warwick dropped to 5-14 overall and DP improved to 10-9.
