JAMESTOWN N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- In their penultimate games of the 2017-18 regular season, the Jamestown High basketball teams earned a sweep of Dickinson in West Region Play Saturday night.

Girls: Jamestown 76 Dickinson 53

Jamestown (13-7, 10-7 WDA) had three players in double figures to propel the Jays to the victory. Megan Gaafaney put in 16 points, Kameron Selvig added another 15 and Courtney Peterson contributed another 14, as the Jays secured a spot in the #4 vs. #5 matchup in the opening round of the West Region Tournament.

Dickinson (6-14, 4-12) had a team high 16 points courtesy of Lauren Jorda.

Boys: Jamestown 51 Dickinson 45

The Blue Jay boys got back to the .500 mark overall this season with 12 points from Jared Kallenbach, who made some key free throws down the stretch to finally pull Jamestown away from a resurgent Dickinson squad.

The Midgets, (5-15, 3-14) still seeking their first win in February, saw Krew Mathern lead the club in scoring with 17 points.
