CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – After an increase in influenza in the Carrington area, CHI St. Alexius Health Carrington made the decision to restrict visitors to keep the disease from spreading to their patients.

Marketing Coordinator Nicole Threadgold reports that the restrictions have been lifted.

“Precautions will still remain in place,” Threadgold announced. “Those entering the facility who are displaying signs and symptoms of illness may be asked to wear protective masks. Protective masks are available at all facility entrances and registration desks.”

The hospital states that the further minimize the spread of illness, those who come to the clinic are asked to use protective masks and use alcohol hand wash for your protection and the protection of others.

“Thank you for your consideration as we lift visitor restrictions. We always strive to keep our patients and staff safe in order to keep the community healthy,” Threadgold states.
