JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Annual Polar Pig Walk the Plank Fundraiser brought in around $14,000 that was donated to the JRMC Hospice program February 3rd.

Organizer Don Wegner says the money came from donations plus a $4,000 matching grant through Giving Hearts Day. The total raised in 2018 was lower than the $19,000 raised in 2017.

Wegner says temperatures could have been a factor in the decreased number of jumpers this year.

The plunge was created more than 10 years ago and has raised more than $150,000 for the JRMC Hospice Program.
