Hi-Liners Set School Record with 17 State Qualifiers

WEST FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Valley City became the only team in North Dakota to qualify all 17 wrestler for the state individual tournament. Saturday at West Fargo The Hi-Liners had their highest ever finish at The EDC Tournament scoring 209.53 to place second behind West Fargo.

Jake Tangen (195) and Parker Larson (126) were EDC champions. Jonathon Langer (138), David Peterson (160) and Jaden Oestern (HWT) finished 2nd and Jonah Schuldheisz (120), Evan Mielke (132), Logan Erlandson (182) and Jared Undem (170) came in 3rd.

Valley City  had 11 All State Academic wrestlers, which is also a new school record.

The state tournament begins Thursday in Fargo, full coverage of the dual tournament came be heard on KOVC 1490AM/96.3 FM and NewsDakota.com with updates on the individuals heard through out the day.
