JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown Mayor Katie Andersen is officially circulating petitions to put herself on the June 12th ballot as she runs for a third term.

Mayor Andersen first began serving as Mayor after winning a four-way race in 2010. So far, Andersen is the only candidate who has taken out petitions for the mayor’s office at this time.

Other positions that are up for election include Councilman Ramone Gumke, who has decided to not run for re-election and instead run for a Stutsman County Commissioner seat.

Those interested in running for public office have until April 9th at 4 PM to submit petitions for election. Interested parties must collect and submit 227 signatures to the city administrator to be included on the ballot.
