JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Giving Hearts Day is scheduled for February 8th, so NewsDakota.com will highlight a variety of the different non-profit organizations that will be benefiting from the upcoming 24-hour online donation day.

For over 120 years, St. John’s Academy in Jamestown has provided an education to students in grades K-12.

Development Coordinator Peggy Etzold says they’ve operated since 1890, they’ve been continuing this education. She says they hold other fundraisers besides Giving Hearts Day to help them continue their education.

Etzold says they’re looking to use a portion of the Giving Hearts Day dollars to update their curriculum which will cost the school around $35,000. You can learn more about St. John’s Academy by visiting stjamesbasilica.org.

Giving Hearts Day is a one-day online donation event on February 8th where over 400 non-profit organizations benefit from a 24 hour fundraising event. In 2017, about 22,000 people donated over $10 million to different organizations of their choice. For more, visit impactgiveback.org.
