KENSAL, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- In a game that was close from start to finish Barnes County North edged out Midkota in a District 5 Boys’ game 60-58 in overtime Tuesday night. The Bison improves to 6-10 while The Mustangs fall to 3-13.
The game was tied at 39 after 3 quarters and both teams scored 14 points in the final period to to send it into over time knotted at 53. Allen Contreras scored 4 of BCN’s 7 overtime points to lead them to the 2 point win.
Contreras ended the night with 24 points. Colby Bruner and Tristin Roaldson were also in double figures with 11 and 10 points respectively.
Mason Smith led all scorers with 32 points for Midkota. Chase Wells added 13.
Both teams play again Thursday a home, The Bison play Warwick and The Mustangs Harvey/Well County.
