VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – In a previous story on NewsDakota.com we told you about Sarah Montecuollo, a sophomore from Valley City State University, who appears in a new video by Mandisa.

Mandisa is a Grammy award-winning Christian/Gospel artist who flew Montecuollo to Nashville in mid-November 2017 to record her parts for the video, after Sarah shared a video of herself winning a talent show during the 2017 VCSU Homecoming in October of 2017. Sarah did a signing performance titled “Bleed the Same” that impressed everyone including the musical artist Mandisa.

Montecuollo said being from a small town, I didn’t think anything like this would ever happen to someone like me. God gave me the opportunity to make a difference and do something amazing. She said, performing sign language for Christian music artists is a dream of mine and getting to be in a music video was a dream come true. She talked about this wonderful opportunity with reporter Steve Urness on KOVC radio.

Montecuollo is studying music education at VCSU; she learned to sign by taking classes in American Sign Language via technology on the VCSU campus through Lake Region State College in Devils Lake.
