JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Giving Hearts Day is scheduled for February 8th, so NewsDakota.com will highlight a variety of the different non-profit organizations that will be benefiting from the upcoming 24-hour online donation day.

The Jamestown Arts Center has become a spot for local artists to share their talents, perform and learn. They’ve done this as a non-profit since 1964.

Larry Kopp recently became the Arts Center Executive Director. During his time, the grand opening of the Hansen Arts Park was held and a major grant was acquired that will bring a Summer Arts Series to the park through the entire summer season.

Because the center operates as a non-profit, Kopp says the rely on heavily on donations, grants, and fundraisers. This makes Giving Hearts Day important for the Arts Center.

The Arts Center is one of 14 different non-profits in the area that will benefit from the 24-hour online donation event. Kopp says the day will give everyone a chance to see what each organization does for the community and understand how important their donation is on that day or any other day.

Giving Hearts Day is a one-day online donation event on February 8th where over 400 non-profit organizations benefit from a 24 hour fundraising event. In 2017, about 22,000 people donated over $10 million to different organizations of their choice. For more, visit impactgiveback.org.
