Carrington, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)—-Emerson Hoornaert had a game high 15 points, 7 rebounds, and six assists to help lead Carrington past Benson County (BC) 78-18. McKenzie Johnson added 14 points, 4 steals, and matched Hoornaerts game high 6 assists. Jill Endres added 13 points and a game high 4 blocked shots. Haley Hewitt scored 9 points, added 3 assists, and a game high 8 steals. Addison Hoornaert added 13 points and Bella Hone added 7 points and added a game high 7 rebounds. The Cards defense held BC to just a single point in the second quarter and scoreless in the third quarter. The Wildcats were paced by Dani Schwanke with 9 points. The Cardinals, ranked 7th in the state class B girls poll end the regular season with a 15-4 overall record. The Wildcats finish 9-10 overall. The Cards with face Barnes County North in the first round of the District 5 tournament at 7:30 P.M. at Jamestown Civic Center.
