JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Giving Hearts Day is scheduled for February 8th, so NewsDakota.com will highlight a variety of the different non-profit organizations that will be benefiting from the upcoming 24 online donation day.
The American Heart Association works to build healthier lives where individuals live and work through health care, education, and research. Kendra Kreuger is the Advocacy Project Coordinator for the region.
Krueger says they are planning to use any funds donated to them during Giving Hearts Day to continue their work with the Cardiac Ready Communities project.
Krueger says at this time, there are seven communities that have Cardiac Ready Communities designation with 35 currently working towards reaching that goal. She says money donated to their non-profit through Giving Hearts Day will be matched up to $15,151 by the American Heart Association.
Giving Hearts Day is a one-day online donation event on February 8th where over 400 non-profit organizations benefit from a 24 hour fundraising event. In 2017, about 22,000 people donated over $10 million to different organizations of their choice. For more, visit impactgiveback.org.
