JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Civic Center will be filled to the brim with a multitude of different sports and recreational items this weekend.
The annual show, put together by i3G Media, will run Friday from 4 PM to 8 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 4 PM. There will be samples, door prizes and demos.
“It’s going to be a great show,” states Lynn Lambrecht, event organizer. “Food, fun new vendors, and the Raptor Show that everyone loves!”
The free Raptor Show is put on every year by the Black Hills Raptor Center and sponsored by Gun & Reel Sports and Grabinger Marine. Maggie Engler says the Raptor Show is a big highlight of the convention.
“The amazing avian ambassadors from the Black Hills Raptor Center will be returning to the Jamestown Sport and Rec Show for three presentations,” Engler says. “These 4 species of birds of prey are all found across North Dakota. Meet a ferruginous hawk, American kestrel, short-eared owl, and two eastern screech owls. Learn about their specialized habits that make them all top predators and why their conservation is critical to the survival of humans.”
Friday night also features the annual Optimist Club Spaghetti Feed. You can find more on the free event in the poster below.
