LAMOURE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- The LaMoure-Litchville/Marion girls basketball team claimed yet another Class B District 5 regular season championship Thursday night after a convincing 77-50 victory over Oakes.

#3 LLM (16-1, 6-0 District 5) had to battle with the Tornadoes for the first eight minutes, as they were tied with Oakes at 19 after the first quarter. The Loboes then put up 20 points in the second and third quarters to pull away.

Anna Holen had a game high 32 points for LLM, including eight three pointers. Oakes (8-7, 2-3) was lead by Sadie Hansen’s 27 points.

The Loboes head to Forman on Monday to meet Sargent Central, while the Tornadoes play at #2 Medina-Pingree-Buchanon Saturday around 2:30 p.m. Coverage of Oakes/MPB can be heard on 103.1 The Raven.
