JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Blue Jays pulled out two wins over Bismarck Legacy with not one but two late game heroics.

Cameron Selvig made two free throws with 13.6 seconds remaining lifting the Blue Jay girls to their seventh win in the last nine games.
Legacy’s Katie Weigel tied the game at 44 with 2:25 left with a three pointer. But following a Jamestown time out, coach Andy Skunberg put Selvig in to try and get some height in the middle and hope for either a bucket or a foul. He got the latter and Selvig hit two free throws.
Whitney Thomas launched a long three pointer as time expired but the ball came up short ending the Jays two game losing streak.
Selvig finished with nine points. Katherine Horgan led all scorers with 13. Alexis Dressler led the Sabres with 10 points.
With the win, Jamestown is 8-6 overall and 5-6 in the West Region. Legacy falls to 5-9 overall and 4-7 in the region.

John Horgan hit a three pointer that gave Jamestown the lead 51-50 with just over three minutes to go and the Jays sealed the game at the free throw line for their seventh win the last nine games.
Jared Kallenbach scored 12 of his 18 points in the second half and Mason Walters added another 18. Boden Skunberg chipped 15 points and was 7-8 at the free throw line. As a team, Jamestown was 18-20 at the free throw line in the second half and 25 for 28 for the game.
Austin Wolf had 15 points to lead Legacy.
Jamestown improves t0 8-6 on the year and 6-5 in the West Region. Legacy falls to 6-8 overall and 6-5 in the region.
