JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Members of the Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Committee and the Young Professionals of Jamestown presented the Customer Service Award for January to Marlene Hanson.

Hanson is employed by the Walmart Store #1649 in their photo department.

The chamber honors individuals who demonstrate a consistent commitment to delivering products or services that satisfy customers by exceeding their requirements or expectations.

Marlene’s letters of nomination stated:

“Walmart’s photo department has updated their machines several times and Marlene is always happy and willing to stop what she is doing to assist the customers. She is a great multi-tasker, helping at the till, helping at the photo machine, and with any questions about the products. She smiles, takes her time with each customer, and is a very efficient employee. She always appreciates the business her customers bring and shows it with her nice smile and personality. We were making pictures and needed help. She came right over to help us, then the phone rang, then another person needed help, then some pictures were ready and then the inventory people had a question! All the while, Marlene was answering questions, helping, etc. she helped each one as if we were her only customer. She does and outstanding job.”

Marlene, who along with all the other monthly winners, will be recognized at the Chamber’s annual banquet in January 2019.

Customer Service Award nomination forms are available at the Chamber office and on their website at www.jamestownchamber.com or call 701-252-4830.
