VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City Public Schools announced in a news release that Kathy Lentz was selected by the North Dakota Space Grant Consortium to attend the 2018 Space Exploration Educators Conference in Houston, Texas on February 1-3.
Lentz, is a 5th grade teacher at Washington Elementary in Valley City. She was selected based upon her exceptional proposal, strengths in teaching, and ability to bring meaningful lessons back to her students and the staff at Valley City Public Schools according to principal Chad Lueck.
He added, “Kathy is a leader in North Dakota in STEM education and will be an outstanding representative of Valley City and North Dakota at the Space Conference in Houston.”
Lentz has been teaching in the Valley City Public District for 16 years and earned her Master’s Degree in STEM Education back in 2007. Kathy and her husband Michael have 3 children, Cameron, Tayler and Jared.
