N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Salvation Army set their sights on a smaller goal in 2017, but reached it after missing their previous goals for the past two years.
The Salvation Army reports that they were able to bring in $145,700, $5,700 more than the $140,000 goal.
“The surge of volunteers during the final week of the campaign likely made the difference,” Major Tim Nauta states.
He says donations at the Wal-Mart site were around $20,000 in 2017.
Funds will benefit the Jamestown Salvation Army with their different services they provide.
