JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The brief warm-up that much of North Dakota has seen for the past few days is about to come to an abrupt end.

The Bismarck National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for much of Eastern North Dakota and a Winter Weather Advisory for Central and Western North Dakota. Meteorologist Jeff Schild has more.

Schild says the blowing snow and cold temperatures could create blizzard like conditions for much of North Dakota. He says the wind chills will also dip into the -30’s Wednesday evening.

Once the system moves in, the cold weather will be here to stay.
