N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The James River Senior Center has found their newest Executive Director.
Maureen Wegenke accepted the position and took over in December of 2017. Originally from Jamestown, Wegenke says she decided to apply for the position after having done some work with the center in the past.
Wegenke says while she hasn’t worked directly in senior care, she’s gained her experiences through a lot of volunteer work.
Wegenke says while in Heron, she says she created a Memory Safe program, which collected memories, pictures and more for the residents and their families. She says it’s an experience that will stay with her. Her last position was as Executive Director of the Town and Township Association.
While she is new to the position, she says she is up for the challenge that Executive Director of the James River Senior Center poses. She says she has some goals for her first year in the position.
Wegenke says individuals can visit their website for more information about the center at jamesriverseniors.com. They can also call 701-252-2882
