N.D. (NewsDakota.com)—-A late fourth quarter rally from Carrington came up a bit short for the sixth rated team in the state and top ranked Langdon-Edmore-Munich (LEM) held on for a 55-51 victory. LEM built and early lead and was up by 14 points early in the 4th quarter before Carrington would make their comeback attempt. Jordyn Worley had a game high 19 points and Callie Ronningen added 18 points and a game high 14 rebounds to pace LEM.

Carrington was paced by McKenzie Johnson’s 11 points, Addison Hoornaert 10, Kadyn Mehring 9, and Jill Endres 8 points. Carrington also picked up 4 points from Haley Hewitt, her first action since game 1 of the season. Hewitt played in several 1-2 minute bursts created several LEM turnovers and also finished with a game high 5 steals. LEM had 24 turnovers and Carrington finished with 20. LEM went 11-15 (73%) from the free throw line and Carrington shot just 15-26 from the line, just 58 percent. LEM also had the rebound advantage at 38-30. LEM improved to 8-1 overall and Carrington dropped to 7-2 overall and will face fourth ranked Edgely-Kulm-Montpeiler on Tuesday night.
