CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – On behalf of Valley City Public Schools, we would like to extend our “Hi-Liner” Holiday wishes to you and your family. While we have reached the “unofficial” mid-point of the 2017-2018 school year, we all look forward to a great second half of the school year. We hope the next two weeks will bring you time together with family and friends, and also plenty of time for rest, relaxation, and fun!

Last week we received many generous donations of books and money for the children at the Sanford Children’s Hospital in Fargo. Please be looking for a follow-up story and pictures after we deliver new reading books to the children at the hospital from our Hi-Liner community here in Valley City. Thank you all for your generosity and compassion!

Finally, I hope that you have received information about the district’s consideration to renovate Hanna Field in the summer of 2018. We would like to officially invite you to attend one of our four public meetings scheduled for January 4th and 9th at 10:00am and 7:00pm in the H.A.C Lobby. At each meeting, we will share our vision for Hanna Field, discuss the “Why” and ask for your input and feedback. We also look forward to answering any questions that you may have regarding this potential project. I’ve attached a preliminary design of the potential project that has been provided to us.

Thank you for providing all of us at Valley City Public Schools the opportunity to educate, motivate and inspire your student(s).

Happy Holidays!

Mr. Joshua Johnson

Valley City Public Schools Superintendent
