N.D. (KFGO) – The woman charged in the kidnapping and death of a pregnant Fargo woman has pleaded guilty.
38 year-old Brook Crews has pleaded guilty to kidnapping and murder-conspiracy and lying to police. Her court-appointed lawyer is Steve Mottinger.
Crews faces up to life in prison without parole on the murder-conspiracy charge. She and her boyfriend are accused of kidnapping the newborn daughter of Savanna Greywind. The child was found in their apartment. Greywind’s body was discovered in the red river.
Police and prosecutors have refused to release many details about the death and how the baby was delivered. Cass County State’s Attorney Birch Burdick says they’re trying to protect the integrity of the investigation.
Crews is scheduled to be sentenced January 16th. Her boyfriend has asked for a jury trial, which is set for March 20th.
