N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Carrington Cardinals boys basketball team will kick off their 2017-18 season at home tonight against their old Region IV rival, the Rockets of New Rockford/Sheyenne. Last year, the Cardinals finished with an overall record of 19-5 and the District V runner-ups and the Region III runner-ups, both times dropping to the other Cardinals team in Region III, Ellendale. The Rockets finished in third place last year at the Region IV tourney in Devils Lake and a 17-8 overall record.
