JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Behind 3 individual champions and 10 place winners The VCHS Wrestling Team took 2nd place at The Knights of Columbus Tournament Saturday in Jamestown. The Hi-Liners scored 129 points behind champion Moorhead’s 142.5.

Taking home championships were Parker Larson at 132, Logan Erlandson at 182 and Jake Tangen at 220. Jaden Oestern finished 2nd for the 285 pound class. Third place finishers for Valley City were David Peterson (160), Jonathan Langer (152) and Jared Undem (170). Bennett Rogelstad wrestling at 106 and Austin Rogelstad at 113 finished 4th. Cade Powers placed 7th for the 195 pound class.

For the JV squad, Nic Pfeifer was 1st at 132, Ezra Hanse 2nd at 138 and Jonathon Redfearn 3rd at 170.

Valley City returns to EDC action Tuesday with a dual in Wahpeton.
