N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A generous donation match will be made available to the Jamestown Salvation Army today and tomorrow.
The Red Kettle Campaign is underway and is the largest fundraiser for the Salvation Army. According to Major Tim Nauta, the matching money will be available Friday and Saturday at any ringing station in the community.
Nauta says every dollar donated in that time will be matched up to $4,000, bringing a potential $8,000 possible donation to the Salvation Army. Nauta says they’re currently ahead in donations at this time compared to last year.
Nauta says they’re continuing to seek volunteers to man one of the six different stations in Jamestown to ring the bell and raise money. He says they would love to keep the positive momentum going.
The Jamestown Salvation Army has set their goal at $140,000, which will allow them to continue providing their services through 2018.
