FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Bismarck Century will get an opportunity to defend their state title after topping Valley City 3-1 in the state tournament semifinals Friday at The Fargodome. The Hi-Liners won the opening set 25-20 but it was all Patriots after that as they stormed back to win the next 3; 25-14, 25-7, 25-20.
Valley City’s defense shined in the losing effort with 5 players recording double figure digs. Kacee White paced The Hi-Liners with 19, Lexi Ondracek had 14 and Macy Olstad and Reagan Ingstad 11 each. Mackenzie Pederson added 5.
Cali Halgrimson registered a team high 13 kills, Olstad scored 9 and Pederson 4. Pederson and Josie Berntson each had 2 blocks. Ingstad posted 27 assist.
