JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High volleyball enters the state tournament for the fifth time in six seasons and the fourth time as the West’s number two seed. They will play the Davies Eagles at 3pm today from the Fargodome.

Jamestown is 35-5 (17-1) on the season with two wins over Davies during the Bismarck and Fargo tournaments. The Eagles knocked the Jays out of the state quarterfinals in 2014 and returned to the state tournament with a 3-0 win over Sheyenne.

The Jays have the West Region senior athlete of the year in Megan Gaffaney, who left Saturday’s conference championship match with an injury but returned. Libero Hannah Schiele finished second the voting for that award.
