N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department is warning area residents of a current scam involving the department.
“We have received a report that someone claiming to be a representative of the police department has been making calls requesting cash donations for the department,” JPD reports.
“The police department is not asking for cash donations from anyone in the community. If someone calls you and asks for a cash donation for the police department, do not send them money. It is a scam.”
The Jamestown Police Department is asking individuals to contact 701-252-1000 if you receive this scam call.
