VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Work on the second phase of the permanent flood protection project in Valley City continues.

Crews razed three structures earlier this year near the Barnes Rural Water offices on west main in Valley City.

East of there the construction of a storm sewer lift pump will be the anchor to the future foundation of the permanent flood protection wall along west main in Valley City.

Construction on the foundation of the wall will begin in the spring of 2018.

Last week, another structure, a former printing business was removed on east main for the permanent flood protection project.
