N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – One person was killed and another injured following a two vehicle crash roughly 6 miles Northeast of Edgeley Thursday afternoon.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that a semi was traveling eastbound on LaMoure County Road 34 hauling a fully loaded trailer of corn. A Chevy Blazer was traveling Southbound on 85th Ave. SE and continued through the intersection where it was struck by the semi. The semi then entered the south ditch, rolled, and came to rest on its driver’s side. The Blazer entered the ditch, rolled, and came to rest on its wheels.

The 41 year-old Stirum man driving the semi suffered minor injuries and was transported to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center. The 79 year-old Monango man driving the Blazer died as a result of his injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrols. Names will be released later pending notification of family.
