JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Dacotah Bank of Jamestown has made another large donation to a local organization.
Safe Shelter of Jamestown has received a donation of $20,000 from Dacotah Bank that will go on to fund the construction of Mary’s Place. Mary’s Place will be a shelter that will provide short-term living for victims of violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking.
“Thank you for believing in our mission to provide respect, dignity, safety, healing, and hope for survivors of domestic violence and their children,” the Safe Shelter says in a social media post.
Safe Shelter Executive Director Lynne Tally estimates that somewhere around $300,000 to $400,000 are needed to finish the project.
