FARGO (NewsDakota.com) On the final day of the regular season, the Lisbon High volleyball team swept Richland; thus picking up a first round bye in the tournament.

On Thursday, the Broncos ended their season with another three sets to none sweep against the Colts, and this time, clinching the third place trophy.

Lisbon (28-10) won by scores of 25-22, 26-24 and 25-18 Thursday night at Fargo Oak Grove Lutheran School. The Broncos had just two aces, both from Payton Lund, but they registered 30 kills; 16 of those from Elizabeth Lyons. The senior set a new school record of most kills in a single season; surpassing the total of 537 set by Ronni Carter in 2008.

Richland (20-13-1) had three players with double digit kills, Kayla Erickson had 12, McKenzie Breden had 11 and Kennedy Flaa had 10.
