CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City School District will move forward with a proposal to build a new Track & Field facility at Hanna Field. Once completed the school district will be able to host regional track meets in Valley City in the spring of 2019.

Superintendent Josh Johnson said a number of people in the school district and community are excited about this project.

He said we will learn more about the design and cost estimate as we move forward over the next few weeks. Johnson talked about the action taken by the school board with reporter Steve Urness.

Johnson said the school board approved of hiring the firms of KLJ and JLG to work on the design concept and cost estimate during a special school board meeting on Wednesday, November 8th. The board approved of the motion on a 4-0 vote. School board member Rich Schueneman was unable to attend the meeting.
